About Auburn Riverside Drama

The Auburn Riverside Theatre was established in 1995 with the opening of Auburn Riverside HS. From it's very first production of "Working" to this year's productions of "Urinetown" and "Once Upon a Mattress," we have striven to educate students about the world of theatre as well as put on quality productions to entertain the school community and the community of Auburn. Auburn Riverside is a member of the International Thespian Society (Troupe #5560), an organization dedicated to excellence in high school theatre around the world. We have also been recognized by Seattle's premiere musical theatre, The 5th Avenue, through their 5th Avenue High School Theatre Awards Program. These honors have included nominations for Best High School Musical in the State for "Pippin" and "Seussical", Best Actress and Best Costume Wins for "Beauty and the Beast", a Special Honors Award for Outstanding Ensemble Production with our production of "Working" as well as other nominations in a variety of categories. Our motto is "When you make your partners look good, you look good." We are very excited to our first theatre in the park Shakespeare production this July 2011. Stay tuned for details.
